Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – PR manager of Air Montenegro Maja Bjelic has said that the national airline is ready to welcome all passengers during the summer season and to accommodate the expected increase in both passengers and flights to the best of its ability.
She told Mina-business agency that the beginning of this year’s summer season indicated that the company would definitely see growth in key figures.
“According to the official IATA calendar, the summer season started on 31 March, and from April 1 to May 15, the company operated 140 more flights compared to the same period last year and transported almost five thousand more passengers,” said Bjelic.
She mentioned that the airline expected to operate about 740 more flights by the end of the summer season compared to last one, and to transport around 84,000 more passengers.
“Our current estimates indicate that cabin occupancy would also increase by about 4.5 percent compared to last year’s summer season,” specified Bjelic.
She stated that Montenegro’s tourism industry was ready to welcome an increased number of tourist arrivals during the summer season, adding that Air Montenegro definitely was ready.
“This is evident from the fact that we have expanded our fleet and the number of destination we fly to, so Air Montenegro will continue to strive to improve service to passengers this summer, as always,” said Bjelic.
Air Montenegro will fly to 16 destinations during this summer season.
