Romanian-born who entered Book of Records for longest hair will release her book in Romanian
Susanne Kalb Orels, born in the village of Dedrad, Batos commune, central Mures County, who was included in the Guinness Book with two records for the healthiest and longest hair in the world, translated her book “My hair and my records. The secret of a healthy and beautiful hair” in Romanian, after the success of the German edition.
“The secret of the records lies in the hair care recipes that I learned from my grandmother, I improved them and share them with anyone who is interested (…). Everything I learned about hair care, for adults and children, I included in a book in German, which was successful at the Frankfurt Book Fair – “My hair. The secret of a healthy and beautiful hair”. I wrote it in Romanian at the request of my fans and hopefully I’ll be supported to publish it. There are a lot of tips and recipes for having healthy hair and stopping hair loss (…) This book is addressed to people for whom hair is not just an appendix to be washed and trimmed from time to time,” Susanne Kalb Orels told the press.
Sussane is a beautician by profession, she moved to Germany in 1990, and in 2001 her dream came true, when she set the first world record, being included in the Guinness World Records with the healthiest hair, with a length of 180 centimeters. In 2002, Susanne Kalb Orels achieved the second world record, having a hair length of 194 centimeters, 30 centimeters longer than her height.
Sussane is 58 years old and, although 23 years have passed since her first entry in the Book of Records, she still has healthy hair, 140 centimeters long, which has kept its natural brunette color, with few white strands.
She also debunked the myth that it is not good to wash long hair more than once a week, showing that when she does sports, she washes it even three times a week.
Although she has lived in Germany for 36 years, every summer Susanne visits her parental home in the Mures village of Dedrad, the home where she learned to take care of her hair following her grandmother’s advice.
