Zero taxes on small businesses until 2029

TIRANA, February 21/ATA/ About 90% of businesses operating in the country will continue to have zero taxes until 2029.

Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj visited today the small business of a citizen in Lushnja to say that the government priority is the creation of favorable conditions for small businesses that contribute every day to the improvement of local economies.

We will continue to support this category, which constitutes about 90% of businesses, pursuing the policy of zero taxes until 2029,” he stated.

The latest data published by INSTAT showed that by the end of 2023, there were 117,292 active businesses in various sectors of the economy. Businesses with 1 to 4 workers accounted for 28% of the total employees, which realized 15.4% of net sales and constituted 86.1% of active enterprises.
