Berlin, July 5 /Agerpres/ – AGERPRES special corespondent, Daniel
Florea,
reports: Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu declared on Wednesday that one of the
priorities of his mandate is the development of the defence industry in
Romania.
The head of the Executive held a press conference at the
headquarters of the Romanian Embassy in Berlin, during which he was asked
what topics he will address in the scheduled discussions with
representatives of the German defence industry, in the context of the
two-day working visit he is conducting in this country.
“I plan to make Romania’s defence industry a priority during my
mandate.
That is why I am here with the Minister of Economy and the Minister of
Defence. It was obvious,” said Marcel Ciolacu.
Asked whether the discussions will be about military equipment, the
prime minister emphasized: “Romania is in the process of endowment, but I
also want as many such capabilities as possible to be produced in Romania.”
