Petroleum products consumption reaches nearly 450,000 tons

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Monstat, the total final consumption of petroleum products in Montenegro amounted to 449,100 tons last year.

The statistical office stated in a press release that out of this, 341,800 tons were consumed in the transport sector, and 58,800 tonnes in the industry.

“Other sectors consumed 13,000 tons, while non-energy consumption amounted to 35,500 tons,” the press release reads.

In the total final consumption of petroleum products in 2024, transport accounted for 76.1 percent, industry 13.1 percent, other sectors 2.9 percent, while non-energy consumption accounted for 7.9 percent.

Imports of petroleum products into Montenegro reached 453,900 tons last year.
