ZAGREB, 14 July (Hina) – In the first five months of this year, there were 151 cruises by foreign vessels along the Croatian Adriatic, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year, although the number of passengers decreased by 0.2%, totalling 207,500, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

A total of 45 foreign cruise ships docked in Croatian seaports, 12.5% more than in the first five months of 2024, while the number of days they stayed in Croatia increased by 7.6% to 356 days.

Foreign vessels cruising the Croatian Adriatic arrived under the flags of 11 countries, with the majority, 42 voyages, carried out by ships sailing under the Maltese flag. They were followed by ships under the flags of Panama, the Bahamas, Norway, Italy and Bermuda.

In May alone, there were 6.4% more foreign cruise voyages along the Adriatic compared to the same month last year, bringing 132,000 passengers, a 6% increase.

As usual, most foreign cruise trips were recorded in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, followed by Split-Dalmatia County.
