An exhibition of Orce Nineski’s recent acrylics on canvas will open at the Cultural and Information Center at 8 pm, organizers said in a press release.
Titled ‘Boards,’ the solo exhibition features paintings “dominated by flat shapes and flat space, wide chromatic surfaces arranged plainly and clearly with precise drawing determining the calm and harmonious surfaces,” according to art critic Vladimir Velichkovski.
Nineski’s latest works contain elements of cubism and abstract expressionism, Velichkovski notes, pointing out influences by Juan Gris, Paul Klee and Mark Rothko on the visual artist.
Orce Nineski (b. 1978, Skopje) holds a BA degree in History of Art and Archaeology and a MA degree in Modern History of Art from the state university’s Faculty of Philosophy.
