ZAGREB, 12 Aug (Hina) – The average monthly net pay for May 2024 in the City of Zagreb amounted to €1,518, rising in nominal terms by 0.5% from April and by 16.5% from May 2023, the city administration has reported.

The highest average take-home pay in legal entities in Zagreb in May was paid in crude oil and natural gas extraction, €2,216, while the lowest was paid in the manufacture of leather and similar products, amounting to €867.

The median pay for May 2024 amounted to €1,294, meaning that half the employees earned less and half earned more than this amount.

Compared to Croatia’s average monthly net pay in May, which amounted to €1,324, the average monthly salary in Zagreb was 194В euros higher.

The average gross pay for May in Zagreb amounted to €32,165 and was down by 0.7% on the month but it rose by 17.1% on the year.
