Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro and Turkey foster strong friendly ties, and very good bilateral relations which significantly contribute to closer relationship between the two nations, it was heard during the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic to Ankara.
Ibrahimovic started on Thursday his visit to Turkey, on the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
According to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), during the first day of his visit, Ibrahimovic met with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmus.
“The interlocutors noted that the two countries foster very good political contacts and bilateral cooperation, and they in particular discussed the parliamentary dimension of Montenegro-Turkey ties”, the press release stated.
MFA said that during the meeting with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand Assembly, Fuat Oktay, the interlocutors pointed out the importance of parliamentary diplomacy.
