According to the National Tourism Organization (NTO), the oldest and most influential travel magazine in the United Kingdom, Wanderlust, has included Montenegro in its list of top ten most desirable emerging destinations in the world.
The Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2023 ceremony and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of this prestigious British magazine took place in the historical building of the British Museum during the World Travel Market in London.
The event was opened by the popular British presenter Ben Fogle, known for his roles on Channel 5, BBC, and ITV television.
The event was attended by Director of the National Tourism Organization (NTO) Ana Tripkovic Markovic, and Director of the Montenegro Convention Bureau and coordinator for promotion in the UK market Aleksandra Maksimovic, along with over 500 global tourism industry leaders.
Tripkovic Markovic stated that this was another confirmation that Montenegro’s image in the United Kingdom market was on the rise.
She added that particularly gratifying was the fact that the recognition came from over 91 thousand readers who had voted for their favourite destinations, regions, cities, tour operators, and airlines over the past five months.
