“We are interested in creating a new generation of craftsmen with professional training, certification, business support and international networking,” Culture Minister Lina Mendoni said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) regarding the support programs for craftsmen, as well as the schools of traditional and fine arts implemented by the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with other ministries, universities and regions.
The minister also spoke about the Higher School of Fine Arts and Marble Crafts of Panormos, Tinos, whose operating status and capabilities have been upgraded, as well as the Higher School of Performing Arts, the bill for which is expected to be discussed in the fall.
“Our goal is for the bill to be discussed in Parliament in the fall, for a Governing Committee to be appointed within the year and for the School to welcome the first students in the academic year 2026-2027,” Mendoni noted to ANA-MPA.
