Culafic: NPCG’s revenues grow

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Region Development Damjan Culafic has said that the National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG) achieved excellent results between 1 January and 1 June.

“Revenue increased by nearly 40 percent compared to the same period last year, while the number of visitors rose by 41 percent, clearly demonstrating the growing recognition and attractiveness of our national parks,” Culafic stated.

In the first six months of this year, NPCG generated €891,160 in revenues, up from €641,330 in last year’s corresponding period.

“These results were not achieved by chance, they are a direct result of serious and decisive reforms we’ve implemented in recent months, particularly in staffing and internal organization within the public enterprise,” Culafic said, adding that a stable, transparent, and efficient system had been established, as a prerequisite for such progress.

Culafic stated that the national parks were among Montenegro’s most valuable resources, not only in terms of preserving natural heritage and biodiversity but also as a pillar of sustainable tourism development.
