Illegal migration is the main threat Europe faces, not the possibility of a Russian attack, Deputy Premier and Transport Minister leader Matteo Salvini said Monday at the ‘Victory Festival’ at Mormant sur Vernisson, near Paris, organized by the Patriots for Europe group his League party belongs to.

“Like yesterday, the League is with you today, the majority of Italians are with you: we must fight with all the weapons allowed by democracy to combat an EU dominated by bureaucrats and bankers,” Salvini said.

“The threat does not come from the East, from improbable Russian tanks, but from the South and from illegal migrants.

“Everyone listens to Pope Leo’s wise words of peace. We Patriots are on the right side of history”.
