ZAGREB, 2 June (Hina) – The 17th edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival Split will be held in the biggest Croatian coastal city from 13 to 22 June, the organisers have recently said.
The world premiere of the film “Sola” by Croatian screenwriter and director Lana Barić will kick off the festival.
“Marija Škaričić, Ivana Roščić, Snježana Sinovčić and Goran Marković star in this truly Mediterranean movie delicacy in which the main character returns to her native island,” according to the information released on the festival’s web site.
Over 100 feature and short films will be shown at the BaДЌvice Open-air Cinema and cinema theatres of Gripe Fortress and Kinoteka Zlatna Vrata.
“After winning the Palme d’Or, a historic success for Croatian cinematography, Nebojša Slijepčević’s film ‘The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent’ will have its Croatian premiere on 18 June 2024В in Split,” the festival’s organisers say.
