Marinakis: Today Greece is stronger than ever in defence

Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis in his briefing to the press on Thursday referred to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ meeting with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“The prime minister in his statement noted that they agreed to continue to work in order to deepen the positive climate in the Greek-Turkish relations which has been established in the last months.”

He added that the two leaders agreed on the road map of the contacts between the two countries which will include meetings of the responsible for the political dialogue and the positive agenda of the deputy foreign ministers in mid October, their meetings in November for the Confidence Building Measures and the convention of Greece-Turkiye High Cooperation Council on December 7, in Thessaloniki.

“Today Greece is stronger than ever in defence both at geopolitical and diplomatic level and is operating with respect to the rules of the international law” Marinakis said.

He said that on Thursday, Mitsotakis will have a meeting with investors then he will deliver a speech at Yale University and later he will address the UN Assembly.
