Kosovo purchases Bayraktar TB-2 drone

Bayraktar TB-2 drones have been added to the Kosovo Army. This was announced today by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who indicated that the drones were purchased from Turkey.

He emphasized that with the Commander of the KSF (Kosovo Security Force), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari and the

Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, they congratulated the officers who completed the training on the use of drones.

“We have added Bayraktar TB-2 drones to the arsenal of our army, which we bought as a government from Turkey! In two years of governance, we have increased the number of soldiers by over 80% and the budget for the army by over 100%,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.

He added that Kosovo is now even safer, “in addition to always being proud”.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, after the purchase of Bayraktar drones, has stated that his priority was to
equip the KSF with modern weaponry of the latest technology.

He emphasized that Bayraktar drones are the latest type of weaponry, the possession of which, according to him, is necessary for the defense of the country. /KosovaPress
