An agreement between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Kosovo and that of Bulgaria was reached today in Prishtina for co-production in cinematography. During the signing of this agreement by the Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku and his Bulgarian counterpart, Nayden Todorov, it was said that this cooperation will create new opportunities for film productions and film artists from both countries.
The Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku said that the signing of this agreement is also a confirmation of the excellent relations between Kosovo and Bulgaria.
“The signing of this agreement today is also a confirmation of the excellent relations between Kosovo and Bulgaria… We agreed to have further meetings… The main news today is that the two film funds, that of Kosovo and Bulgaria, from now on, will unite creating new opportunities for film productions, film artists, cinemas from both countries, to produce together”, said Çeku.
Meanwhile, his Bulgarian counterpart, Nayden Todorov, has stated that apart from supporting cinematography, Bulgaria has always supported Kosovo on its path towards integration into the European Union.
“We hope that this agreement will push forward the cooperation between our countries and give a boost to cultural cooperation and film co-production. Bulgaria has always been a supporter of Kosovo on its path to the European Union integration and it is one of the forms that we tried to help”, he said.
Among other things, Çeku emphasized that MCYS is also in communication with other countries for cooperation.
