Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – At a meeting with Serbia’s Minister of Tourism and Youth Husein Memic, Montenegrin Tourism Minister Simonida Kordic stated that Serbia was one of the traditionally most important markets for Montenegro.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Tourism, the meeting in Belgrade focused on the plans of the two ministries for the upcoming year, joint efforts to facilitate travel and simplify procedures, and strategies to combat the informal еconomy.

“Kordic said that Serbia’s market was one of the traditionally most significant for Montenegro,” the press release states.

She also highlighted the importance of a unified approach to distant, so-called third markets.

Kordic reminded that the Joint Action Programme between Montenegro and Bulgaria had been signed within the framework of the “Balkan Destination” initiative.
