Plenković, Urška Klakočar Zupančič say Croatia, Slovenia have good relations

ZAGREB, 4 Dec (Hina) – Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković met on Wednesday with Slovenian National Assembly Speaker Urška Klakočar Zupančič, who is on a working visit to Croatia, the government said in a press release.

Plenković expressed satisfaction with the partnership and friendly relations between the two countries, as well as the ongoing strengthening of economic and cultural cooperation.

He highlighted that Slovenia is Croatia’s third most important trade partner and ranks third in terms of Croatian investments abroad.

Economic cooperation has the potential for further growth, especially in the energy sector, with plans for expanding the capacity of the LNG terminal on Krk island and building a second block of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant.

Klakočar Zupančič thanked Croatia for its swift assistance during the devastating floods that struck Slovenia last year.
