Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Compared with the last year’s corresponding period, the industrial production in Montenegro decreased by one percent in the second quarter.

“Compared with the second quarter of 2022, the mining and quarrying industry and the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector increased by 4.2 percent and 43.8 percent respectively, while the processing industry decreased by 19.8 percent,” states a press release issued by Monstat.

Compared with Q1 2023, the industrial production saw a 17.3 percent decrease in this year’s second quarter.

“In this period, the mining and quarrying industry and the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector saw a year-on-year decrease of 18 percent and 39.9 percent respectively, while the processing industry grew by 13.9 percent,” states the press release.
