Ibrahimovic: Closer cooperation among small states for greater resilience to global challenges
Podgorica, (MINA) – Small countries can be bridges of cooperation, as well as models of fast and efficient transformation, said Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimovic.
He participated on Monday in the meeting of the heads of state and government as part of the Games of Small States in Andorra, which focused on resilience of small European countries in the face of global challenges.
According to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on the current global challenges faced by small European countries, which, although with limited resources, have proven themselves catalysts of changes in the global landscape and leaders of sustainable development, human rights, education, sports, and health.
Ibrahimovic pointed out that small states can play a unique role and “be bridges of cooperation, but also models of rapid and efficient transformation”.
The MFA stated that after the high-level meeting, a Declaration was adopted that advocates strengthening resilience, improving relations with the EU and other European states, strengthening cooperation between small European states, and strong support for peace and stability in Europe and the world.
