Humanitarian aid transported by Romanian Air Force’s aircraft to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

A C-27 J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force took off on Thursday from the 90th Air Transport Base, bound for Amman, to transport equipment and medical materials necessary for the health activities of the Jordanian field hospital in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of National Defence informs.

The mission for the transport of material goods granted by Romania, free of charge, is executed with the approval of the minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, at the request of the Department for Emergency Situations, based on CNSU Decision 2/2024.

According to UN data, about 2.2 million of the 2.4 million inhabitants of the Palestinian enclave affected by a shortage of water and food are threatened by starvation, and about 1.7 million have been displaced by Israeli fighting and bombing.
