The first batch of medicines and consumables supplies provided by the Republic of Cyprus was dispatched by air to Lebanon on Friday morning, while a second shipment is expected to depart on Saturday, CNA has learnt.
Cyprus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, was sending almost three tons of medicines and consumables to Lebanon after being informed by the Lebanese authorities about the serious needs of the neighbouring country’s medical system.
The aid, according to information CNA has obtained, was to be sent on two flights, on Friday and Saturday.
The first shipment was sent to Lebanon on Friday morning, while the second one is expected to be dispatched on Saturday morning, according to the same information.
