Government sets minimum monthly wage for 2024 at €840 gross

The Croatian government on Wednesday adopted a decree on the minimum monthly wage for 2024, setting it at €840 gross and €677 net.

The minimum monthly wage will go up by €140 gross, or 20%, from the present €700.

The decree enters into force on 1 January 2024.

The Minister of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, Marin Piletic, said that the share of the minimum wage in the average monthly salary had increased by more than 54%.

Next year, the net minimum monthly wage will be roughly €677, which is an increase of more than €100 compared with 2023, he said.
