President Nikos Christodoulides and Egypt’s Foreign Affairs Minister Sameh Shoukry have discussed close coordination on facing common issues, the Egyptian FM’s spokesperson said on Thursday.
Shoukry, who is paying Cyprus an official visit following an invitation by his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos, was received on Thursday morning by President Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace.
In a message on X, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson referred to the “historic friendship” of the two countries, and referred to “multi-framework cooperation based on common visions and interests”.
The Spokesman said they discussed “close coordination on facing common challenges”.
