DZS: Volume of construction works in June up 12.8% y-o-y

ZAGREB, 26 Aug (Hina) – According to calendar-adjusted indices, the volume of construction works in June 2024 was 12.8 percent higher than in June 2023,В and 1.3 percent lower than in May 2024, according to provisional data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

The DZS data show that the volume of works performed on buildings in June was 18.6% higher than in June 2023, and the volume of works on other structures was 2.8% higher year-on-year.

Compared to May of this year, the volume of construction works on buildings was down by 1.1%, and on other structures by 2%.

In June, 61.2% of working hours on construction sites were spent on new structures and 38.8% on reconstructions, repairs, and maintenance. 56.4% of working hours were spent on buildings and 43.6% on other structures.

In the first six months of this year, the volume of construction works increased by 15.7% y-o-y.

At the same time, the volume of work performed on buildings was up by 21.4% compared to H1 2023, and the volume of work on other structures was up by 5.6%.
