Bitola, 25 September 2025 (MIA) – Iranian-French cinematographer Darius Khondji was given the Golden Camera 300 award for lifetime achievement of this year’s Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers Festival at an awards ceremony held Wednesday evening in Bitola.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov gave the prize to Khondji, congratulating him on the award together with festival director Dimitrija Doksevski.
“I am speechless. Thank you. I am so happy to be in Bitola to receive this wonderful award and I dedicate it to my wife Marianne for all her support,” Khondji said after receiving the prize.
Darius Khondji (b. 1955, Tehran) is a cinematographer known for his work with directors such as Jean-Pierre Jeunet, David Fincher, Michael Haneke, Woody Allen, James Gray, Bong Joon-ho, Wong Kar-Wai, and the Safdie brothers. He has been nominated for two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award and three César Awards.
