Nedim Bajrami’s long-range strike in the second half rescued Albania with a valuable 1-1 draw against Czech Republic in a Euro 2024 Qualifiers Group E showdown played at the Eden Arena stadium in Prague on Thursday evening.
The Czech side were more aggressive at the start of the second half and were the first to take the lead at 56th minute by Cerny as the goal was confirmed after it was initially disallowed for offside.
Albania drew just a few minutes later at 66′ after a powerful long-range strike by Nedim Barjami, a result which left the group still wide open.
The Czech Republic vs Albania ended at a 1 to 1 draw.
In the first minutes of the match, the home side maintained possession. The Czechs began to arrive in the first half of the match, but Albania was more dangerous.
Albania rank second with seven points, one point less than the group E leaders Czech Republic, followed by Poland in third place with six points, Moldova with 5 points, and bottom Faroe Islands with one point.
Albanian side will host Poland at Air Albania Stadium for the Euro Qualifiers group stage on September 10.
