Croatia issues €1.5bn 10-year eurobond

ZAGREB, 6 March (Hina) – The Finance Ministry on 5 March successfully issued a eurobond on the international capital market in the total nominal amount of €1.5 billion, which matures in 2034, the ministry said on Wednesday.

The annual coupon rate is 3.375%, and the final yield 3.421%.

The issue was arranged by Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Zagrebačka Banka/UniCredit.

The transaction was carried out within one day, with extremely strong demand in the total amount of more than €8.5В billion.

The bond registry contained around 180 individual expressions of interest from top investors from a number of countries, including Germany, Great Britain/Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, France, and the US, the ministry said.

“The level of interest and the achieved terms of the issue strongly confirm the credibility of Croatia as an issuer on the international market, as well as the trust in its economy and public debt, notably after its entry to the euro and Schengen areas and the strong economic growth in 2023,” the ministry said.
