Kotor, (MINA-BUSINESS) – After negotiations that had started a year ago, a new Collective Agreement was adopted with a majority of votes at a meeting of the Trade Union of the Port of Kotor held on Monday.
The new Collective Agreement was officially verified with the signatures of Chair of the Board of Directors, Ljiljana Popovic Moskov, Acting Executive Director Milko Krvavac, and President of the Trade Union Zdravko Vukovic.
Vukovic stated that the Trade Union expressed particular satisfaction with the harmonization of management’s demands and the Union’s requests, as well as the compromises found during the collective bargaining process.
“In addition to being in line with the labour law and the General Collective Agreement, the new Collective Agreement envisages or retains job complexity indexes from the previous agreement, but also offers some innovations regarding business disruptions,” states a press release issued by the Port of Kotor.
Popovic Moskov said that the Board of Directors of the Port of Kotor had expressed appreciation to the employees and the Trade Union for their understanding of the Board’s need to take measures in much shorter timeframes, in certain and defined situations that posed a threat to the company’s operations, as experienced during the pandemic, than the previous Collective Agreement had allowed.
“The next obligation arising from the signed Collective Agreement is for the management to propose a new act on internal organization and job classification within 15 days from the signing,” states the press release.
