CBCG: Outflow amounts to €335.76 million

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to preliminary statistics of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), the total inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) amounted to €701.89 million the first nine months, while the outflow totalled €335.76 million.

The latest CBCG Bulletin says that net foreign direct investments amounted to €366.13 million in the first nine months, down 1.69 percent year on year.

“The total inflow of foreign direct investments was 6.65 percent higher than in the corresponding period,” stated the CBCG.

The residents’ investments abroad amounted to €80.15 million, while the withdrawal of money invested in Montenegro by non-residents amounted to €255.61 million.

The FDI inflow related to the ownership investments amounted to €448.11 million, which accounts for 63.84 percent of the total inflow. Of that amount, the inflow based on the real estate investments amounted to €361.78 million, while the investments in companies and banks amounted to €86.33 million.

The FDI inflow in the form of intercompany debt amounted to €221.68 million, which is 2.22 percent more than in last year’s corresponding period.
