Car sales YTD increase by almost a third

From the start of this year to 30 November, 53.282 new passenger vehicles were sold in Croatia, up 28.7% from the same period in 2022, the Promocija Plus market research agency said on Monday.

Volkswagen accounted for the highest number of new vehicles sold (6,160), or 11.5% of all sales. It was followed by Škoda with 6,117 sales and an 11.4% share. Renault was next with 5,654В vehicles sold and a 10.6% sale share.

Every second car sold is petrol vehicle, every fourth is hybrid car.

Petrol vehicles accounted for 50.8% of sales in the first eleven months of this year, with 27,085 cars sold, followed by hybrid cars (13,116В or 24.6%), and diesel vehicles with 9,992В sold (18.8%). Also the share of natural gas vehicles was 3% in the total sales. Electric vehicles accounted for 2.8% of the sales.
