The “Sheets” by the Albanian director Evi Gjoni won the best short film award at the prestigious Athens Short Film Festival. The award was in recognition of having met the highest standards of excellence in this category.

The success at the “Athens Short Film Festival” comes after the award received earlier in 2023 at the Trieste Film Festival.

The “Sheets”, a film depicting a utopian world, in which the quarantine of an unknown pandemic continues for many years, has been supported for its realization by the National Center of Cinematography.

The Athens Short Film Festival is an annual event that serves as a showcase for many films from around the world.

In the recently completed edition, there were a total of 1,585 applications, among which 35 were selected to be displayed.
