Gevgelija, 27 October 2025 (MIA) — Dressed in traditional attire from different regions, Bojmija Folk Dance Ensemble members will present traditional housewares and how they were used in the past as part of a multimedia event at the Gevgelija National Theater, MIA’s Strumica correspondent reports.

The event is titled “Tunnel of Tradition.” It will feature folk dance performances set to traditional instrumental music as well as folk songs performed by renowned folk singers.

The performances will be accompanied by a screening of archival recordings filmed by the pioneers of Macedonian cinematography, the Manaki brothers.

“The event was conceived as a journey through time, celebrating the Macedonian cultural and ethnological heritage and recalling its enormous value and influence on contemporary cultural identity,” organizers said.

The multimedia event was organized by Macedonia Youth Cultural Center and the Municipality of Gevgelija as part of the Gevgelija City of Culture 2025 cultural programming. mr/
