Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €861 in August, up 1.2 percent from July.
According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 7.8 percent in August, compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
The average gross salary amounted to €1,080 in August.
“Given that, compared with July, the consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent in August, the real wages in Montenegro increased by 0.8 percent in this period,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.
In August, average net salaries increased in the field of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, financial and insurance services, information and communications, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, transport and warehousing, other services, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, professional, scientific and technical activities, accommodation and food services, water supply, wastewater management, process control, waste disposal and similar services, education, real estate, public administration and defence, mandatory social insurance, art, entertainment and recreation, administrative and supporting services.
On the other hand, average net wages decreased in this period in the field of healthcare and social welfare, mining and quarrying, and processing industry.
