All Evros Prefecture investment projects will be funded with 34 mln euros, Theodorikakos says
The Region of East Macedonia-Thrace will receive the entirety of funds it has requested in the context of the development law, 14 million euros, Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos said in Orestiada on Thursday.
Theodorikakos presented the action plan for the reconstruction and development of the Evros region under his responsibility, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and at the event “National Strategy for Regional and Local Development: We discuss, decide, and move forward TOGETHER for Evros.”
In addition, the minister said that all developmental plans tabled for Evros Prefecture will be funded. The total budget for the region is 33,817,534.26 euros, of which 22,170,800.72 euros are a state subsidy. He also mentioned the settlement of all outstanding financial obligations to businesses from previous development projects.
Theodorikakos also underlined there will be collaboration with local agencies to implement needed works affecting manufacture and transportation costs, while the Industrial Zone of Alexandroupolis is being upgraded with projects budgeted at 4,730,000 euros that are expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
