Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €1,040 in July, up 0.1 percent on June.
According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 2.3 percent in July, compared to last year’s corresponding period.
The average gross salary in Montenegro reached €1,240 in July.
“Given that, compared with June, the consumer prices increased by 0.8 percent in July, the real wages in Montenegro decreased by 0.7 percent,” stated a press release from Monstat.
In June, average net salaries increased in the field of water supply, wastewater management, process control, waste disposal and similar services, healthcare and social welfare, financial and insurance services, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, transport and warehousing, information and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, education, art, entertainment and recreation, mining and quarrying, processing industry, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, accommodation and food services, administrative and supporting services, real estate, and other services.
In the same period, average net salaries decreased in the field of civil engineering, public administration and defence: mandatory social insurance, retail and wholesale trade, and maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
