All Croatian airports registered a rise in the number of passengers passing through them in the first nine months as well as in September alone, according to the data provided by the national statistical office (DZS).
The total number of passengers at Croatia’s airports amounted to over 1.5 million in September 2023, which was 11.5% more than in September 2022.
In the first nine months of 2023, 9.6 million passengers used Croatian airports, a rise of 16.6% on the year.
The total number of landings and take-offs at the airports reached 15,177 in September 2023, which was 6.2% more than in September 2022.
The amount of freight handled by the airports in September 2023 totalled 893 tonnes, down by 0.7% compared to September 2022.
In the period from January to September 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, the total number of landings and take-offs and the total number of passengers increased by 5.5% and 16.6% respectively, while the total amount of freight decreased by 5.6%, reports the DZS.
