AI labs in 15 schools of Albania

The second phase of the project to create artificial intelligence (AI) laboratories for young people from 13-19 years old has started to be implemented in all the schools of Albania.

One of these schools, the “Andon Zako Çajupi” high school already has a new artificial intelligence laboratory thanks to the government efforts and the support of the American-Albanian Development Fund (AADF).

Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu held today a conversation with the students of this school.

Manastirliu said that, “Another artificial intelligence laboratory is added to our schools, thus opening the doors of knowledge towards innovation and artificial intelligence. Thanks to cooperation with AADF, artificial intelligence laboratories are being built in 15 other schools.”

Minister Manastirliu said that, “What is important is how to use artificial intelligence for our needs, to produce products that will be useful in everyday life. On the other hand, it will also be useful for the learning processes because many things you learn in the high school will be useful to you when in university; they are products of scientific research”.

On their part, the students said that, “Artificial intelligence has opened many opportunities, not only for us but also for other young people to have a more successful future”.

The Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the “Andon Zako Çajupi” high school has just been completed and has become functional in this school, within the “AI for Youth” project, as part of the 15 other schools that were included in the project this year.
