6th Litera children’s literature festival begins

Skopje, 15 May 2024 (MIA) – The international children’s literature and illustration Litera will open for the sixth time at the MKC Youth Cultural Center at 7 pm.

According to organizers, this year’s festival will focus on Turkish children’s authors and illustrators. Festival events will include conversations with Gizem Gözde Uçar, Murat Kalkavan, Zeynep Sevde, and Serhat Albamya.

Albamya will run a children’s illustration workshop, which organizers say is “a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning something new and exchanging experiences with one of the most famous Turkish artists.”

The workshop will take place at MKC’s Creative Corner on May 17 at 10 am.

Turkish Ambassador Fatih Ulusoy and his deputy Muhammed Çelikkaya will speak at the opening of the festival.

The festival will run through May 18. This year’s artworks, after Litera closes, will be put on display at the Ramstore Mall, organizers add.
