290 cases of pertussis, or the whooping cough, have been reported to the Public Health Institute (IJZ) since November, this institution stated.

“Among the registered cases, the largest share is in the age group of 11 to 15, 132 of them”, the press release adds.

Most cases have been detected in Podgorica, 191, followed by Danilovgrad 25 and Berane 14.

Of the 290 registered cases, in 270 persons five or more years have passed since the last dose of the pertussis vaccine, or these persons have not been vaccinated.
