179 climbers from all over Albania climb Mark Zagora peak in Theth

TIRANA, March 12/ATA/ During these days in March, the mountaineers and tourists passionate about mountain climbing visited the Albanian Alps National Park.

Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro shared in the social media moments from their climbing to the Alps.

“179 mountaineers from all over Albania explored the “Alpine National Park”, a unique experience of mountain tourism among wonderful landscapes, an initiative of the Albanian Mountaineering Federation, which was also joined by tourists passionate about nature”, said Kumbaro.

In this expedition, 179 mountaineers from 16 teams of our country climbed the highest peak of Thore Pass, the Mark Zagora or as they are otherwise known as the twins of Theth, at an altitude of 2313 meters above the sea level, thus challenging the difficulties and dangers that accompany the winter season in these areas.

This activity is an opportunity to promote the beauties and tourist values ​​of the Alps. The Albanian Alps National Park, one of the most attractive and fascinating territories of the Albanian lands with numerous natural beauties and great tourist resources, attracts mountain climbing enthusiasts every year.
