Pafos FC progresses through qualifying play-offs of Champions League

Pafos FC of Cyprus will make its Champions League debut this season after progressing through the qualifying play-offs.

Pafos secured a late 1-1 draw on Tuesday with Red Star Belgrade to seal a 3-2 aggregate victory at a game taking place at Alphamega Stadium in Limassol. Brazilian winger Jaja scored an 89th-minute equaliser, after Mirko Ivanic had put Red Star 1-0 up on the night.

The Cyprus Football Association issued a congratulatory message for the team’s qualification. IPafos is the third Cypriot team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and the first to qualify for the League Phase of the top club competition, CFA posted on X.
