Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj has said that a significant increase in foreign direct investments from the United Kingdom in the past year, as well as productive foreign trade exchange, provide a solid foundation for closer cooperation in other areas.
At a meeting with British Ambassador Dawn McKen and the Director of the British Council for the Western Balkans Clare Sears, he said that closer cooperation could also be established in the sectors of tourism, innovation, and education.
The importance of the creative economy was additionally underlined, with Gjeloshaj supporting the Embassy’s ideas related to that sector.
Gjeloshaj particularly highlighted the dedication, commitment, expertise, and sincere support of the British Embassy in drafting the Amendments to the Law on Free Zones. McKen welcomed the Ministry’s commitment in this field and expressed full support for continuing activities to ensure the success and productivity of this process.
