Zagreb: Free public transport for those under 18 starting 1 April

ZAGREB, 27 March (Hina) – Starting 1 April, public transportation in Zagreb will be free for 120,000 residents under 18 years old who live in the city, as well as for tens of thousands of people with disabilities, the city administration said on Thursday.

Since last year, public transport has been free for 160,000 people over the age of 65, meaning that, from 1 April, a total of 300,000 residents of Zagreb will benefit from this initiative.

By subsidising transportation for those under 18, along with subsidies for the cost of daycare, the city significantly reduces the expenses for families in Zagreb, city officials said.
