Radulovic: Bar-Ancona maritime service agreed

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulovic has announced that the Bar-Ancona maritime service will operate from 1 July to 10 September.

He stated that Montenegro would have four international maritime routes during the upcoming summer tourist season.

“In addition to the already agreed Budva-Dubrovnik, Kotor-Dubrovnik, and Bar-Bari routes, we can officially announce the Bar-Ancona service. It will operate from 1 July to 10 September. Negotiations with Adria Ferries for this year’s season are nearing completion, and Barska Plovidba has agreed on the key elements of the contract with the Italian partner,” Radulovic said.

According to a press release from the Ministry, he added that the formal signing of the contract was expected by the end of this week or the beginning of the next.

“We will soon have the sailing schedule, while fares will depend on the date of purchase and availability. Four international maritime routes during this season are a testament to the successful work of the department I lead, whose priority is expanding the maritime network,” Radulovic stated.

Radulovic believes that this will contribute to the growth of the local economy and have a significant impact on strengthening Montenegro’s economy.
