Voskopoja, a destination for every season

TIRANA, November 30/ATA/ The tourist village of Voskopoja in Korça remains one of the most important cultural, artistic and historical centers of the Balkans, a pearl of Balkan and European culture.

This mountain village offers opportunities to enjoy nature, culture and history and can be visited at any time of the year while each season brings a special experience.

Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja posted in the social media photos of the many tourists visiting the churches and monasteries in the area.

“From Voskopoja, where churches and monasteries speak of history. A destination for every season”, wrote the minister.

Voskopoja has special features like its religious buildings, churches, which have escaped destruction to some extent, and these are: “Saint Nicholas”, “Saint Mary”, ” Saint Elias”, the monastery of “Saint Prodhrom”, “Saint Thanasi”, ” Saint Michael”, which are cultural monuments of category I and for which there has been taken care to restore and preserve the architectural values ​​of these monuments.

In the tourist village of Voskopoja, in addition to beauty and fun with snow, one can have a taste of the traditional dishes such as pies and other foods with organic products produced in the village.
