The ‘Morricone conducts Morricone’ concert was a cornerstone of this year’s Europe Day activities.

The concert was organized under the auspices of Prime Minister Edi Rama

Andrea Morricone conducted the Albanian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra, performing iconic soundtracks composed by his father Ennio Morricone.

PM Rama shared today in the social media a video footage of the magical evening of May 9th of Europe, celebrated with the music of the legendary Ennio Morricone.

“It was a special, dignified performance of the Albanian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra and the Opera and Ballet Theater choir, entitled “It was my father”, conducted by his son Andrea Morricone”, wrote Rama.

Renowned international soloists also performed such as pianist Cecilia Grillo, baritone Alessio Quaresima Escobar and soprano Vittoriana de Amicis.
