Italian government sources on Monday confirmed a report by Axios that a new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran on Tehran’s nuclear programme will be held in Rome on Saturday.

The talks will take place with the mediation of Oman, which hosted the first round of negotiations seeking to prevent the weaponisation of Iran’s nuclear programme at the weekend.
