Ulcinj book fair closes with awarding ceremony

TIRANA, Aug 18 /ATA/ The Book Fair in Ulcinj closed with the tradition of awarding ceremony in an evening dedicated to the Arbëresh scholar Italo Saro and the poet Jelena Jovetić.

Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja shared Sunday on social media moments from the award ceremony of this annual cultural event.

The Liburnia Award for best prose, 2023-2024, went to writer Namik Dokle for the novel “Ten Grams of Honor”, published by Toena.

The “Ulchinium” Prize for best study book went to researcher Viola Isufaj, for the book “Ballad of Lights for Zorba” (In Zef Zorba’s Poetry” published by the Academy of Sciences of Albania.

The Prize “Sevantes” was awarded to the book “The Man Who Sells Blood” translated by Iljaz Spahiu. The Olcinium Prize was awarded to the book “Selected Publishing” 2000-2020 by Erion Kristo.

The fair’s gratitude went to journalist Luela Myftari, writer Eris Rusi and the character Beqir Potka.
